Local author and archaeologist Caroline Hardie will read from her story Little Loco’s Big Day – a story about a very important day – the start of our modern railway 200 hundred years ago.
She will talk about how archaeologists use evidence to find out about what really happened on this world- changing day. Then we will think about how travelling by train has changed in the last 200 years. At the special request of Herald the Horse, we will sing Herald’s Song – very loudly!
There may be stickers at the end especially for loud singers aged below 90. Feel free to hoot and chuff like a train back on to The Station platform at the end. Choo choo! Most suitable for ages 5-7, but younger and older children will enjoy it too. FREE TO ATTEND.
Please note that children MUST be accompanied by an adult, though one adult can accompany multiple children. Please ensure you select the correct number of tickets for each.
