Medieval Music in the Dales is England's festival of medieval music. Totally unique, it's a glorious three-day extravaganza dedicated solely to enjoying medieval music.

A relaxed hike on rights of way around Muker aimed at encouraging increased female participation in walking. Starting in Muker, we will follow footpaths along the Swale through Hartlakes to Keld. We will stop at Keld for a lunch break and there are public toilets in the village (bring 20p).

Towering above the River Swale in the heart of Richmond, the castle has been a spectacular and imposing sight since its foundation in the 1070s. A bold statement of great wealth and power and an incredible survival of an early 11th century stone castle. Originally built to subdue the unruly North of England, it is one of the greatest Norman fortresses in Britain.

Starting from Marske we will follow rights of way across the fields before following a section of road and track to Telfit. At Telfit we will cross the Marske Beck via a pack horse bridge and pass through Clints Wood on our return to Marske. Estimated finish time is 7.30 - 8pm
