Here's what we have done so far
The original Richmond, Richmond Business and Tourism Association (RBTA) is working with Richmondshire District Council and Richmond Town Council.
The judging route has been chosen
The RBTA has provided £700 to go towards new flowerboxes and flowers to be placed at the town entry signs
Richmond Town Council has given funding of £500 for the purchase of gardening equipment to be used by In Bloom volunteers
Ravensworth Nurseries have supplied the gardening equipment funded by Town Council
New flower boxes have been made by Northallerton charity, Chopsticks, and will be planted and maintained by Richmond’s Just the Job and placed by the ‘Richmond’ signs at each entry to the town
Richmond Town Council has a hanging basket scheme for businesses in the town, which includes watering and maintenance by Just the Job
Mocha Chocolate and Neeps and Tatties are sponsoring and working on the Gas Holder Garden with help from Iris Eckersley, local horticulturalist
Gary Hudson of Richmondshire District Council has organised tidying up in the Gas Holder Garden and supplied and laid tons of gravel
Batts fedging and den building was carried out by Sally and Nick Reckert, Jason McLeod and Just the Job

McLuckie Projects has taken on the remainder of the Old Orchard by The Batts. Supported by a team of volunteers from Hunton and Garget, solicitors, the area will be cleared of brambles, tidied, new steps built and soft fruit trees giving fruit for the community, will be planted
ProPharma, who have offices at Olliver, have got together a team of helpers to assist with clearing and tidying
Helen Ambrey from Millgate is taking on responsibility for tidying and caring for Millgate with some of her neighbours

Phil Upton of Purple Creative Studio has created the In Bloom section of the Original Richmond website
Three members of Richmond’s ‘In Bloom’ team have visited Malton to meet with the town’s ‘In Bloom’ team and picked up some useful tips
