The RBTA is part of the Dales Business Forum, which represents the whole of Richmondshire through 4 groups - Richmond and Lower Swaledale; Upper Swaledale; Upper Wensleydale and Lower Wensleydale. Representatives of each group meet regularly to exchange information and ideas.

Welcome to Richmond is a sub-group of the RBTA promoting tourism in Richmond and the surrounding area.
The group organises Love to be Local, the Town Ticket, GeorgeFest, Richmond Walks leaflet and the Town Map and supports the Tourist Information Centre.
Representatives from the Georgian Theatre Royal, English Heritage, Richmondshire Museum, Green Howards Museum, Richmond Station, the TIC, other tourism related businesses and the Town and District Councils meet regularly to discuss tourism strategy and create a varied programme of annual events.
The RBTA supports the annual Richmond Walking and Book Festival
The Festival combines daytime walks led by guides with evening talks from well-known and emerging authors. This long-running event attracts many visitors to the area.
