A wide range of independent businesses in Richmond are coming together to take part in The Magic Tenner campaign from 11th-26th May, in an initiative organised by Totally Locally. They will be offering fantastic £10 deals to encourage people into independent shops and to give a boost to the local economy.
For every £10 spent in an independent business, up to £50 goes back into the local economy. This is because most independent businesses work in partnership with many others. Buying online, or at the big national chains and supermarkets has a much smaller effect, as most (or all) of the money leaves the local economy.
Alongside the £10 offers, shops will be displaying posters showing how many local businesses supply and work with them, to emphasise how supporting one local business supports many others.
The 46 participating businesses are:
- Angel’s Share Bakery
