The Green Howards Museum is delighted to be hosting the exclusive launch of military historian John Sheen’s new book, The Green Howards in the Great War – and we’ve been granted restricted first access to pre-release copies for our private launch event.

Join us in Finkle to enjoy and learn the bliss of being a creative furniture painter, you will be taught by a professional furniture & mural artist. Beginning with the preparation - please bring a piece no bigger than a bedside cabinet, we will take you through the steps to get you to a great place of confidence. Other classes of more specific finishes can also be booked – please ask for details.

Yorkshire Day celebrations will take place in Richmond Market Place on Thursday 1st August. There will be an Artisan Market which will feature goods made in Yorkshire, arts and crafts, food and drink and the Town Council is also providing entertainment for all the family.

Discover linocut printing with this direct graphic printmaking technique. Linocut printmaking involves carving an image into a piece of lino using various chisel-shaped tools. These come in all different sizes allowing for thick and thin marks to be carved into the lino.
