Purple Creative Studio are looking to recruit a new Apprentice Web Developer to join their team in Richmond, North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will work alongside our team to develop a wide range of skills and will also undertake a Level 3 Software Development apprenticeship delivered through 1-2-1 support from Apprenticeship Provider, Principal Skills Ltd.

The role will include training and the successful candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities which would include building bespoke and template websites as well as updating and editing of existing websites.

  • Websites - Design and deployment of professional high-end ‘business grade’ web solutions
  • Creative Design Services - Logos, branding and printed matter
  • Digital Consultancy - Social Media, Digital Marketing & IT
  • Cloud – Microsoft Indirect CSP Reseller, Authorised Google Apps reseller and Certified for Google AdWords, Social Media

Overall Responsibilities

  • Building Bespoke and Template websites
  • Updating and editing existing websites
  • Working within a team to deliver a range of projects

Essential Skills/ Experience

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE Grades A - C (Math & English essential)
  • Flexible with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
  • Enthusiastic and keen to provide exceptional customer service
  • A flair for good design
  • A passion to IT

Extra Points For / Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • An understanding of DotNetNuke (DNN) or other Asp.Net CMS systems
  • Knowledge of Adobe products - Photoshop / Illustrator or Sketch
  • An understanding of jQuery / React / C#.Net / Bitbucket / Agile / Jira / Git
  • Knowing about or even used SASS / Webpack
  • Side-projects / Personal portfolio
  • Making a cracking cup of tea
