Events that we help to drive in our community
Let’s Go for Gold!
The Richmond Business and Tourism Association (RBTA) has entered this year’s 'Britain in Bloom' awards, a community gardening campaign to transform our cities, towns and villages.
We have entered the Grow Your Community category, which is judged on horticultural excellence (gardens and floral displays), environmental responsibility and community participation. This is a non-competitive category, which means Richmond will be judged on the standard now and how much improvement has been achieved over the next few months.
What a day Saturday 5 May turned out to be!
With streets and the Market Place closed to traffic, the town decked in blue and yellow and shop windows decorated for the occasion, Richmond welcomed Day 3 of this year’s Tour de Yorkshire.
The atmosphere was terrific as crowds gathered in Richmond to see the start of the Market Towns Men’s Race that would end on Scarborough’s seafront.

Follow the trail and see if you can solve the clues to see who has entered the competition. You’ll find find 15 businesses in and around the town centre with beautifully decorated windows, and if you walk a little further you’ll find the sixteenth.
